About the Area
Welcome to Seattle and the Northwest!
“Seattle is anything but ordinary. It’s a place where bike messengers share elevators with world-renowned researchers. Where fishermen have lunch alongside top surgeons. It’s a city where the extraordinary is commonplace and commonplace is anything but. And if you look closely, you just might discover that in Seattle there are amazing things happening all around you.”
– Seattle’s Convention and Visitors Bureau
We couldn’t have said it better ourselves! Seattle is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It is nestled between snow-capped mountains and the sparkling waters of the Puget Sound. The Olympic Mountains to the west showcase sunsets that only the Northwest can offer. The Cascades to the east complete the circle of the area with breathtaking vistas.
Besides beautiful scenery, there is always something to do in Seattle!
You are never more than an hour away from the rainforest, down-hill and cross country skiing, hot springs and island retreats. Seattle’s vast waterways provide a host of activity with fishing, boating, sailing, para-gliding, and water skiing.
Seattle’s cultural events are even more diverse than it’s natural surroundings! The Seattle Symphony, Seattle Repertory Theatre, Seattle Opera, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Concerts on the Pier, Folk Life, Bumbershoot, and the Seattle International Film Festival all have been a staple of our artistic community.
We have nationally renowned Sports teams including the Seattle Mariners (baseball), Seahawks (football), Thunderbirds (hockey), Sounders (Soccer), and The Seattle Storm(WNBA).
In 2009, Seattle was rated the most literate city. Not surprising, given our wealth of educational facilities like The University of Washington, the University of Puget Sound, Seattle University, The Art Institute, and several community colleges and trade schools in the area. Additionally, we’re home to several major employers including Boeing, Microsoft, Amazon, RealPlayer, Google, Starbucks, Adobe, Alaskan Air, and more!
It’s easy to see why Seattle is one of the premier cities to live in the United States. Our communities: Greenlake South Shore, Canterbury Court, and Forest Creek apartments are all nestled in the greater Seattle area with great neighbors and friendly resident managers.
Forest Creek and Canterbury Court Apartments are located approximately 12 miles north of downtown Seattle and are nestled between the villages of Lake Forest Park and Shoreline. They’re just minutes away from Edmonds, Kenmore, Bothell, and other unique cities in the North Seattle area.
